Three Challenges in One Card!

So I saw ‘markers’….I saw ‘make your own embossed background’ and I saw a sketch…

I used my markers in two spots on this card – one to create my very own designer paper (on the left) and also to add a little more colour and variety to my central image.  This part of the card was for this week’s Stampin’ Royalty challenge.

I also had some fun creating my own embossed background but I did it differently than the tutorial showed on stamping411.  Since I love embossing folders so much I thought why not make one that I can use over and over instead of just once!?!  Here’s what I came up with:

I used this to create the background on my Marina Mist cardstock but it was really hard to take a good picture that shows it 😦  My final card used this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch which for the first time ever, I didn’t look at other peoples’ sketches before I made mine!  (gave me something to look forward to!) Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
